PORTLAND – Crime Stoppers offered a cash reward for the capture of a bank robber dubbed the "hipster bandit," who hit a Northeast Portland bank last Friday afternoon.

Police were also circulating surveillance photos, hoping someone might recognize the suspect and alert investigators with tips. (See photos above, right.)

Albina Bank employees told police the suspect came into the bank on NE 56th and Sandy and presented a demand note and fled with cash.

He was described as a male white or Asian in his early 30s, 5-foot-7 inches tall, with a thin build, dark hair, black cap, tan pants, glasses, carrying a black bag, and "looked like a hipster," according to Sgt. Pete Simpson with the Portland Police Bureau.
