PORTLAND -- Opponents of a new Oregon law said they have enough signatures to put it to a referendum.

The law would grant driving privileges to Oregon residents who cannot prove they're in the state legally.

Opponents said they have more than 70,000 signatures, which is about 12,000 more than they need to put it a public vote on the 2014 ballot.

Activists said they planned to turn the signatures in to the Capitol Thursday and Friday.
