PORTLAND -- Gov.John Kitzhaber paid a visit Tuesday to the set of the NBC show "Grimm" in Northwest Portland Tuesday, helping kick off filming of season 2, in the fantasy tale that melds mythology with crime fighting.
Stars Bitsie Tulloch, Silas Weir Mitchell, David Giuntoli and Russell Hornsby were on hand to celebrate the start of filming, which included a giant "Grimm" forest cake.
Kitzhaber toured sets along with NBC officials, politicians and staff from the Oregon Office of Film & Television. He said the show has already brought $30 millions to the state during its first season.
"Almost every person on the set is from Oregon," Giuntoli said.
Season 2 of the show will be broadcast in August.
