SALEM – Oregon State Police said Friday a server problem was affecting web access and phone transactions for the Firearms Instant Check System (FICS) background checks.

“We appreciate your patience as we resolve this problem with our vendor and will work hard to complete outstanding requests as soon as possible,” OSP said.
