Gas prices drop slightly in OR, WA

PORTLAND -- The AAA auto club reports the average price of a gallon of gasoline in Oregon is $3.54.

That's down 2 cents in a week and 44 cents in a month. It's 14 cents higher than the national average.

Some metro prices from the AAA's Monday survey: Portland $3.52, Salem $3.50, Eugene-Springfield $3.50 and Medford-Ashland $3.55.

The average price of a gallon of gasoline in Washington is $3.59. That's down a penny in a week and 43 cents lower than a month ago. It's 19 cents higher than the national average.

Some metro prices from the AAA's Monday survey: Bellingham $3.70, Bremerton $3.52, Seattle-Bellevue-Everett $3.60, Tacoma $3.56, Olympia $3.55, Vancouver $3.49, Yakima $3.60, Tri-Cities $3.59 and Spokane $3.60.
