SANDY -- Fire and gas company crews were dispatched Thursday morning to the Fred Meyer in Sandy for a gas leak.
A gas line in a storage area was damaged, possibly by a forklift, according to Gary McQueen of the Sandy Fire Department.
The store was evacuated and closed for a time until repairs were completed. The adjacent Fred Meyer gas station remained open.
