PORTLAND -- If you plan to fill your gas tank before the weekend, be prepared to pay three cents a gallon more than you did yesterday, but if you wait until after the weekend you could pay quite a bit more.
Gas has topped $4 a gallon in some Portland stations, including the Chevron on NW 21st Avenue and W Burnside Street, which was charging $4.19 for regular Friday afternoon.
Several stations were stuck at around $3.99 per gallon.
Prices in other spots have topped $5 per gallon. One Los Angeles station was charging $5.09 Friday.
Prices were expected to increase another 20 cents per gallon by Monday.
