MEDFORD, Ore. (AP) -- Medford Fire Department officials say an exploding gasoline container blew the top off a moving van in the southeast part of the city.

The Mail Tribune reports that no one was injured in the Sunday morning blast and that a fire in the van was quickly contained. Battalion Chief Erin Sawall says a gas container being carried in the rear of the van was the cause.

Sawall says the van was being driven by a family moving from California to McMinnville.
