OREGON CITY, Ore. -- Donald Cockrell was convicted Friday of multiple counts of murder in the death of his 3-year-old daughter, KGW's news partner the Oregonian reports.
Cockrell was charged with killing 3-year-old Alexis Pounder by physically abusing her and starving her to death.

Originally, Cockrell and his fiancee, Michelle Smith, were both charged.
As part of a plea agreement, Smith testified against Cockrell and admitted she caused some of the girl's injuries. She pleaded guilty last year to murder and faces a minimum of 30 years in prison, the Oregonian reports.
Cockrell faces at least 10 years in prison and will be sentenced at a later date.
