EDDYVILLE, Ore. – A father and his daughter were killed in a head-on crash near Eddyville in Lincoln County Thursday morning, police said.

The woman’s 2-month-old baby survived in his car seat.

Investigators with Oregon State Police said a pickup truck driven by Wallace Beaver, 45, of Albany was traveling westbound on Highway 20 when it crossed the center line on a curve and collided head-on with a Chevrolet Aveo.

The Chevrolet's driver and his right front passenger were pronounced dead at the scene, according to Sergeant Cari Boyd with OSP. Their names have not been released yet, but Boyd said the driver was 57 and the passenger was his 34-year-old daughter.

The woman’s infant son was transported by ambulance to Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center in Corvallis with possible injuries.

Beaver was transported by ambulance to Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center with injuries that were not life-threatening, Boyd said.

The investigation continues.
