ALOHA, Ore. -- The driver of a car going "extreme speeds" was killed early Thursday morning when his Honda Civic crashed into a tree, then through a concrete wall, police said.
Police identified the driver as 26-year-old Nicholas Walrath of Aloha Thursday afternoon.
A portion of Southwest 185th Avenue at Pheasant Lane in Aloha was closed off for a crash reconstructionist for hours.
Investigators said the car was possibly going more than 100 mph just before 3 a.m. when Walrath somehow lost control before hitting a small tree and breaking through a cinder-block wall into a home's backyard.
Walrath died at the scene and the car was smashed into pieces all over the road.
At this point, investigators said they did not know if drugs or alcohol were factors in the crash.
