PORTLAND – February’s winter blast postponed Oregon’s annual Special Olympics Polar Plunge on the Columbia River.

So on Saturday, teams of plungers hit the water. One after the other, people ran into the frigid waters.

Among them was a team from KGW, including reporter Tim Gordon, and each year, our own Drew Carney promotes the plunge.

This year there was also a 5K fun run and walk.
