ROSEBURG, Ore. (AP) -- State police arrested a 41-year-old Douglas County man accused of running from a trooper after a traffic stop while carrying 11 plastic bags containing methamphetamine

Samson Jones of Dillard was booked into the county jail late Friday on charges of driving while suspended, attempting to elude police, methamphetamine possession and a parole violation.

Police say Jones was pulled over near Winston after a state trooper recognized him as someone with suspended license. Jones allegedly ran from the vehicle, and the trooper used a Taser stun gun to stop him.
