Reward offered in stabbing at Portland market

PORTLAND - A reward is being offered in the case of a robber who stabbed a deli clerk after a robbery in North Portland Monday.

Police were called to at Jazimes Deli in the 9300 block of North Whitaker Road around 1:10 p.m. to find a clerk stabbed in the leg.

Witnesses said a Hispanic man dressed in dark clothes came into the deli and demanded money, then stabbed the clerk and left the store in a gold Toyota Corolla.

The clerk was taken to the hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening. The vehicle was also reported as stolen.

The car has Oregon plates VGJ 817.

Detectives asked anyone with information to call 503-823-0400.
