WARREN, Ore. -- One person was killed in a two-vehicle crash on Highway 30 between Scappoose and St. Helens early Thursday morning.
The crash involved a dump truck and a passenger vehicle at the intersection of Highway 30 and Old Portland Road, near milepost 26 and north of Warren.
Kristina Brixey, 23, of St. Helens, was pronounced dead at the scene. Her husband and passenger 21-year-old Joseph Brixey was transported to Legacy Emanuel Hospital with injuries that did not appear to be life-threatening.
OSP said the Brixey's Honda was pulling out from a stop at the intersection when it was hit on the driver's side by the dump truck.
The busy roadway was blocked in both directions during the investigation and reopened just after noon.
The driver of the dump truck was not injured.
Authorities said they would remain on scene investigating until around 1 p.m.
