HILLSBORO, Ore. – A drunk driver who hit a teen on an Aloha sidewalk in April pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 5 years in prison Thursday.
On April 3, 25-year-old Bradley Gray of Beaverton fishtailed off Farmington Road in his BMW and slammed into Janae Doby, who was 17 at the time, deputies from the Washington County Sheriff’s Office said.

After crashing into a power pole, Gray bolted from the car but was caught a short distance away by two witnesses.
Doby was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
At Thursday’s sentencing hearing in a Washington County Court, Gray tearfully addressed a now 18-year-old Doby and her family, apologizing for his crimes.
"I wish and pray she will get better. I really hope so. I'm so sorry for everything that's happened. It's horrible," he said.
Doby listened to Gray's apology and said she was willing to forgive him.
"I do forgive him. It wasn't a purposeful act. Yes he was under the influence, but even under the influence you still knew something isn't right," she told KGW after Thursday's sentencing.
