CANBY – Fire crews used the “Jaws of Life” to free a woman trapped in her truck after a two vehicle crash in rural Canby Saturday, firefighters said.
The accident happened shortly after noon near the intersection of South New Era Road and South Central Point Road, said Troy Buzalsky with the Canby Fire District.
Crews found two Ford pickup trucks involved in the accident. One rolled over and was setting on its top, and the other crashed off the road into a cluster of trees. The victim in the rolled-over truck was not injured, Buzalsky said.
The woman in the cluster of trees was reportedly trapped and need to be cut out in order to get medical attention. She was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The passenger in the second truck was not injured, Buzalsky said.
