PORTLAND – Portland tied a record cold Thursday morning with a 20 degree reading at Portland International Airport. It's the third day in a row of record lows at PDX.
Record lows were also set or tied in Vancouver, Astoria, Hillsboro and Salem.
On Tuesday night, the temperature at PDX dropped down to 27 degrees, breaking the old record of 28 degrees. On Wednesday morning, the 22-degree low broke the old record of 23 degrees.
The coldest temperatures of this snap will come this weekend, and valley lows may dip into the single digits. The region will remain dry until late Tuesday when warm air moves into the Northwest.
