BATTLE GROUND, Wash. -- A Battle Ground church’s food delivery van was stolen and police have asked for the public’s help finding it.

The 1991 Ford Aerostar belongs to the Community Baptist Church and it’s used to transport food from the food bank to people in need.

The food bank manager said the van was stolen Sunday while he was at Legacy Salmon Creek Medical Center visiting his new baby granddaughter.

Without the van, the church would have to drastically cut the food service it provides.

“It’s priceless to us,” said James Keithley. “It’s not worth a lot of money, dollar wise, but it does a lot of work for this ministry.”

The van is cream-colored and has Washington license plate number AFY 2843.

Anyone with information about the van was asked to call Battle Ground Police.
