PORTLAND -- A pedestrian was rushed to a local hospital late Saturday night after getting hit by a car in Southwest Portland, police said.
When police arrived just after 11 p.m., they said the victim was stumbling in the street in the 4700 block of S.W. Taylor's Ferry Rd. Officers learned that Corbin Edwards, 21, had been struck by a car and sent him by ambulance to an area hospital with serious injuries, according to Sgt. Greg Stewart with the Portland Police Bureau.
The crash team was called to the scene to investigation, Stewart said, and the driver was cooperative and was not cited.
A passenger in the vehicle was also treated at an area hospital and released, Stewart said.
Police said Edwards was acting erractically before the crash, and they were trying to figure out why.
