PORTLAND -- A TriMet bus driver was placed on administrative leave after allegations that he exposed himself to a passenger.

The woman making the accusations claims that she was the only person left on the Line 70 bus near Southeast 50th Avenue and Foster Road last Friday when the driver made sexually suggestive comments and then showed the woman his genitals.

"We are investigating... and are cooperating with police," said TriMet Public Information Officer Roberta Alstadt in a written statement.

Portland police were also investigating.

The woman's husband, Wayne Hortona, told KGW she's been shaken up since the incident, especially since it happened on a bus, the family's only mode of transportation.

"We've never heard of anything like this before," Hortona said.  "(The bus) is supposed to be our safe-haven. He was the predator."

Hortona commended TriMet's response to the allegations, happy that the driver was on leave during the investigation.
