PORTLAND -- Bullets hit a North Portland home late Monday night, but none of the three children or five adults inside was injured, police said.

Police were called just before midnight to the report of gunshots near North Fessenden Street and Woolsey Avenue, in the New Columbia neighborhood, Portland Police Sgt. Pete Simpson said.

Arriving officers learned the shots were fired from a parking lot behind a home in the 4600 block of North Fessenden Street, Simpson said.

There were no injuries reported and no arrests were made. The Gang Enforcement Team was investigating.
