Portland-- Police evacuated an Izzy’s restaurant in Northeast Portland Saturday afternoon after someone noticed a suspicious object that looked like a bomb.
The device, which authorities described as a cylinder with wires coming out, was in a shopping cart near the restaurant at Northeast 102nd Avenue and Northeast Halsey Street.
The bomb squad sent a robot in to remove the device and the scene was cleared before 5 p.m.
No one was injured and authorities were investigating.
