BATTLE GROUND, Wash. -- A 15-year-old girl walking to Battle Ground High School was struck by a mini school bus Tuesday and suffered minor injuries, police said.
The girl was transported by ambulance to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center where she was treated and released.
Investigators said the high school sophomore was crossing NW Onsdorff Boulevard at Northwest 8th Avenue, when the bus struck her. The bus was moving very slowly and one student was on board, along with the driver.
No one on the bus was hurt.
Washington State Patrol and the Battle Ground Police Department were investigating. The bus-service provider is also conducting an internal probe into the incident.
Names have not been released.
