HILLSBORO -- A teacher aide at Aloha High has been arrested on accusations of sex abuse that involve a student at the school.
The suspect worked as an instructional aide for special needs children but his reported victim was not in the program, according to Sgt. Dave Thompson of the Washington County Sheriff's Office.
The suspect's activity was reported by someone on the school staff on Feb. 16, he said. Investigators spoke with the victim and decided there was a sexual relationship between the two. The victim said it was consensual, the victim said it was unwanted. This took place in the suspect's office, Thompson said.
Alexander Salazar-Olivares, 20, was arrested on Feb. 24th on accusations of first-degree sodomy and first-degree sexual abuse. He was being held on $250,000 bail.
Salazar-Olivares resigned from the district after his arrest.
