PORTLAND - An alert neighbor spotted a burglar sneaking into a home in Southeast Portland Tuesday afternoon as his accomplice kept watch on the sidewalk.
The neighbor in the 2000 block of SE 20th Avenue called 9-1-1 about 2:30 p.m.
The caller saw a man climb through a back window while the second suspect kept lookout, according to said Sgt. Pete Simpson with the Portland Police Bureau.
Simpson said the caller stayed on the phone as officers began to arrive, providing police with updated information that helped them respond.
The suspects were soon spotted in an alleyway north of the victim's home. Property from the home was recovered, Simpson said.
Sebastian Baldwin, 21, and Jett Avery Thomas, 28, were accused of first-degree burglary.
