KELSO, Wash. -- A developmentally disabled man in Kelso is asking for help recovering his stolen adult tricycle.
Someone cut a bike cable lock to steal the trike from the home of 36-year-old Darrel Spreadborough.
He is unable to drive or ride a two-wheeled bicycle.
“It was basically an adult three-wheeler, and fun to ride,” he told KGW.
“Why would somebody do that?” His mother Kathleen Spreadborough asked. “If somebody has a three-wheel bike they usually have a need for it. And his was a physical need."
The bike is called an Eagle Worksman (similar to the one pictured, but black) and it will cost $500 to $600 to replace.
Anyone with information was asked to call Kelso police at (360) 423-1270.
