FOREST GROVE, Ore. -- Seven people were hurt Tuesday when a TriMet bus stopped suddenly on Pacific Avenue in Forest Grove.

Four of the riders were taken to the hospital.

The driver told police another driver cut off the bus in traffic and he had to stop to avoid it.

Fire crews said the victims taken to the hospital were for precautionary reasons. Most of the injuries were suspected hand, wrist, and knee injuries consistent with striking the seat in front of them.

None of the riders had life-threatening injuries.
