LYONS, Ore. -- Four people were hurt Monday when their car plunged off the road and rolled down an embankment near Lyons.
Marion County deputies said the 18-year-old driver of a Jeep Patriot drifted to the edge of North Fork Road.
Then, the driver over-corrected and rolled down an embankment towards the Little Santiam River, investigators said.
Firefighters and paramedics worked to rescue a 17-year-old passenger trapped under the wrecked car. She was flown in a helicopter to a Portland hospital.
The three other victims were treated for minor injuries at a nearby hospital. Deputies did not think alcohol was a factor in the crash.
