3 dead after Clackamas Co. crash

MOLALLA, Ore. -- Three people died after a two-car crash Saturday night on Highway 211 north of Molalla.

A 1985 Toyota Supra driven by Joseph D. Ferris, 25, of Clackamas, was speeding southbound, according to Oregon State Police.

He failed to make a curve and slid sideways, getting T-boned by a 1998 Buick sedan driven by Mark A. Cole, 55, of Eagle Creek.

Ferris died at the scene along with his passenger, Dylan O. Sames, 25, of Salem.

Cole was seriously injured along with front passenger Tina R. Cole, 51, of Eagle Creek A 3-year-old was also seriously injured. Cayla Cole, 19, also of Eagle Creek, died the following morning from her injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
