VANCOUVER, Wash -- An estimated 29 bicycles were stolen Thursday from Bike Clark County, a non-profit organization that teaches bike safety, Police said.

Staff arrived to the Hough Pool recreation center at 1801 Esther Street and discovered the building had been burglarized and the MTX brand bicycles stolen, said Kim Kapp with the Vancouver Police Department.

"It’s always a sad situation when any theft occurs because there’s a victim missing their property," Kapp added. "Obviously, when it’s a non profit multiple people are impacted. The community members and the youth they serve are going to be at a loss as well."

The bicycles were mostly silver (pictured) but a few others were blue. Anyone with information on the burglary was asked to contact the Vancouver Police Department at (360) 487-7449.
