LAKESIDE, Ore. (AP) — A 34-year-old Lakeside man who was looking for the boy who elbowed his 10-year-old son in a football game is accused of punching a 13-year-old in the head.
Coos County investigators arrested Mark Andrew Colton on Saturday on a charge of second-degree assault.
KVAL reports (http://bit.ly/IkHIp4 ) the incident happened in October when Colton's son was playing football in a Lakeside park. He was elbowed in the face during a play and went home and told his dad.
Deputies say Colton went to the field and demanded to know had hit his son. Deputies say the 13-year-old — who had not struck the boy — spoke up. They say Colton struck him in the temple, knocking him unconscious. He was treated at a hospital for a concussion.
