MCMINNVILLE, Ore. (AP) — A man who was convicted of killing two prostitutes in Portland and then served 20 years before being released in February is back behind bars.
The McMinnville News-Register (http://bit.ly/GBrg2S) reports that Scott Cox has twice violated terms of his release from prison, and the second time that happened, he was taken to the Yamhill County Jail.
Prosecutors say the jail's video surveillance showed him taking chewing tobacco out of his shoe.
A judge said the contraband could cause a disruption at the jail and sentenced him to 90 days.
He was convicted of stabbing one woman in Portland and strangling another in the early 1990s.
