PORTLAND – Two people were arrested for a deadly assault outside a Portland tavern in August.
Portland police last Friday arrested 51-year-old Bary Jerome Franklin for manslaughter and criminally negligent homicide in connection with an assault on August 13th in the parking lot of Mama Son's Tavern, on 125th and Southeast Division.
Officers found 59-year-old Steven Glenn Young critically injured. He died from his injuries on September 4.
Detectives said Franklin punched Young, who then fell to the ground and hit his head.
Police also arrested 28-year-old Jennifer Sky Franklin for hindering prosecution and tampering with evidence.
