PORTLAND -- Two people were arrested after a Sunday afternoon robbery at Bikini Barista Coffee that included a police foot pursuit and fight.

Police were dispatched to the coffee shop, located at 8102 NE Killingsworth Street, about 2:40 p.m. after reports of an armed robbery, said Sgt. Pete Simpson.

Witnesses said a middle-aged white woman was seen leaving in a white, mid-sized older sedan. A sergeant who arrived at the scene was alerted to such a car driving poorly down Killingsworth.

The car turned into an apartment complex at 66th and Killingsworth and a man and woman ran from the car. The sergeant called for backup while chasing the pair on foot, Simpson said.

The man jumped a fence, the woman was pulled off of it by the sergeant. The officer ordered the man at gunpoint to halt. The woman then violently attacked him, requiring him to holster the sidearm to get her under control and handcuffed, Simpson said. The male suspect then obeyed orders for him to remain where he was.

The couple and the sergeant were treated for minor injuries. The victim identified the pair as from the robbery. The money and a purse stolen in the robbery were recovered.

Donny Roy Hizey, 32, and Jennifer Tsouvas, 42, were  accused of robbery. She also was accused of burglary, assaulting a police officer, and resisting arrest.
