SALEM, Ore. (AP) — After seven years of putting the bite on crime, Salem police dog Gino is retiring.
Gino is nearly 12 years old and will spend retirement as the family pet of his handler, Officer Darrell Wood.
The Statesman Journal reports (http://stjr.nl/13qqBtf ) Gino helped officers capture 283 suspects.
