PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — The Oregon Department of Transportation says overnight ice caused numerous crashes in the mid-Willamette Valley Friday morning.
The department urged motorists to wait until later in the morning to get on the roads and said that if motorists do leave early, they should slow down and increase the distance they keep from vehicles ahead.
The agency's website reported winter weather advisories for large parts of Oregon.
