SALEM, Ore. (AP) — Gov. John Kitzhaber has named a new director for the Oregon Department of Energy.
Kitzhaber's office announced Thursday that Lisa Schwartz will take over control of the agency and be responsible for implementing the governor's energy plans. Schwartz was previously a senior associate at the Regulatory Assistance Project, a nonprofit organization where she advised states on clean energy programs.
She worked before that at the energy department and the Oregon Public Utility Commission.
Schwartz replaces Bob Repine, who has been the agency's interim director since 2010.
