PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — A storm has brought heavy rainfall to parts of southwestern Oregon.
The National Weather Service said the storm was expected to last into Friday.
A 24-hour total of about 3 inches of rain was reported in the Medford area by late Thursday night.
In rugged areas south and west of Medford near the California border, the 24-hour precipitation totals were tallied at 4 inches or more.
Snow levels were forecast to remain high.
Forecasts in the central coast cities of Lincoln City, Newport and Yachats called for up to 2.5 inches of rain through Friday.
