PENDLETON, Ore. (AP) — Pendleton Police Chief Stuart Roberts says the killing of Amyjane Brandhagen is a "true who-done-it."
The 19-year-old woman who worked part-time at the Pendleton Travelodge was found dead at the motel Aug. 14.
Three months later, detectives have developed a list of suspects, but Roberts says more time is needed to solve the crime.
The East Oregonian newspaper reports (http://is.gd/X8e4Di ) that the Oregon State Police crime lab has completed 46 forensic tests on evidence and is working on six DNA profiles from hair.
Pendleton police also obtained DNA from cheek swabs of 42 people, including out-of-state guests who stayed in the room where Brandhagen died.
Investigators have interviewed at least 100 people and generated 40-50 written reports, some a couple of pages long and others running 30 pages.
