EUGENE, Ore. (AP) — A former hospital nurse has pleaded guilty in Eugene to charges she created fake prenatal and birth records to help a sex offender obtain a new identity and Social Security card.

The Eugene Register-Guard reports (http://bit.ly/R9IMeD) Willy Gibson Whitebird also admitted Tuesday she'd lied under oath to help 27-year-old Michael Allen Snow obtain a delayed birth certificate under another name. A federal agent's affidavit said he was reportedly the father of her twin grandchildren.

The affidavit says Snow served more than eight years after being convicted of raping a teen at age 15, and he was wanted for failing to register as a sex offender.

He faces trial Nov. 28 on charges of fraud and failure to register.

The 55-year-old Whitebird is to be sentenced Jan. 8.
