EUGENE, Ore. (AP) — Lane County sheriff's officers say a baby briefly left unattended in a Eugene-area park has been reunited with a parent.
The Register-Guard reports that deputies responded Thursday afternoon to Emerald Park after someone reported finding the infant alone in a parking lot - in a child safety seat.
Officers say 911 dispatchers soon got a call from another person reporting that a baby had accidentally not been put back into a vehicle before a driver left the park.
The newspaper says the child was later reunited with a parent, with assistance from Grand Ronde Confederated Tribe Children and Family Services.
Sheriff's officials said they had no additional information.
