SEASIDE, Ore. (AP) — Investigators have yet to determine the cause of a fire that destroyed three buildings and damaged others in downtown Seaside.
Seaside Police Chief Bob Gross told The Daily Astorian (http://is.gd/xqadhx ) that Tuesday's fire started in the northwest corner of a vacant commercial laundry that was for sale.
The fire destroyed two buildings on Avenue B — one of which was the vacant laundry — and one building on Avenue A. The fire also caused smoke and water damage to two other businesses.
