ASHLAND, Ore. (AP) — A settlement has been reached in a lawsuit filed by an activist who says she was assaulted by an Oregon man while protesting.

The Ashland Daily Tidings reports (http://is.gd/ruFJzQ) that 73-year-old Stanley Shulster agreed to apologize to 29-year-old Rachel Abileah and pay her an undisclosed amount of money.

Abileah staged an interruption during a May 2011 speech by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Abileah alleged that she suffered an injured neck when Shulster pulled her down during the brief protest.

Shulster, who lives in Ashland, is a lobbyist for the American Israel Public Affairs Committee.
