LAKESIDE, Ore. (AP) — Oregon State Police say a driver who refused to pull over for a traffic stop was killed in a five-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 101 on the Oregon coast near Lakeside.
State police say three other people injured in the crash were taken to area hospitals.
The crash late Tuesday afternoon temporarily closed the highway in both directions.
Police say the driver who refused to stop for a speed violation continued northbound for about seven miles before being involved in the crash.
