PORTLAND, Ore. -- New searches were planned for Kyron Horman, who went missing from Skyline Elementary School on June 4, 2010.

The Multnomah County Sheriff's Office planned to search this weekend in new areas that had not previously been searched, KGW news partner The Oregonian reports, citing Kyron's mother Desiree Young.

Kaine Horman confirmed to KGW that more searches were likely.

"I fully expect a search or searches this month and possibly next," said Kyron's father, but he said he did not know the exact timing or location.

Kyron Horman was seven years old when he disappeared from Skyline Elementary in June, 2010.

His stepmom Terri Moulton Horman has been a focus of the investigation but no suspect has been formally named and no charges have been filed in the case.
