PORTLAND, Ore. -- The office at Skyline Elementary school reopened Tuesday in preparation for the beginning of the fall school year.

A media briefing was being arranged through Skyline leadership and families for the first day of school, September  7.

Kyron Horman has been missing since June 4. The Skyline student was last seen that morning at the elementary school.

New security measures, including parental notification procedures, were implemented after Kyron's disappearance and have become part of school policy.

All summer, supporters and well-wishers have left items at a makeshift "Wall of Hope" at the school. Kaine Horman, Kyron's father, recently told KGW the Wall of Hope would be moved before the start of school to ensure that strangers were not on school property once fall classes were underway. There was no word yet where the Wall of Hope was being moved. Kaine speaks to KGW

Meanwhile, a grand jury in the case resumed meeting Monday. Grand jury proceedings are secret, but sources told KGW that law enforcement personnel were appearing before the grand jury this week. Grand jury resumes meeting
