WILSONVILLE, Ore. – Police are searching for a hit-and-run driver who caused a multi-vehicle crash along I-5 south of Wilsonville Wednesday morning.
The crash happened around 9 a.m., near the 282 interchange. Investigators said a gray or silver sport utility vehicle, similar to a Dodge Durango, collided with a Toyota Corolla and a Honda Civic, and then left the scene.
Krista Cain, 30, of Woodburn was driving the Corolla and Olga Avalos Valencia, 34, of Beaverton was driving the Civic.
Valencia suffered serious injuries and was flown in a LifeFlight helicopter to Oregon Health & Science University for treatment. She was expected to survive. Police did not give details about Cain's condition.
Witnesses told troopers that the person behind the wheel of the SUV was driving recklessly before the crash.
