OREGON CITY, Ore. -- The Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office increased the reward Thursday for information leading to the arrest a man suspected of killing a county weighmaster.
The sheriff’s office increased its reward to $16,000 for leads about the Feb. 6 shooting death of 47-year-old Grady Waxenfelter. Police have identified the suspect as Dirck Morgan White, 41, of Edgefield, Wash.
Waxenfelter stopped White while he was driving a truck loaded with firewood. White shot and killed Waxenfelter and then left the scene, according to the sheriff’s office.
Pierce County has an active warrant for White's arrest on a weapons charge. White was also wanted for questioning regarding the rape of a child in Pierce County, said Lt. Robert Wurpes of the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office.
White was a delivery driver for O'Malley Brothers Trucking in Estacada, Ore. at the time of the murder.
He was described as an Hispanic man, 6-feet-tall and weighing 190 lbs. with black hair and brown eyes. Deputies said he has an extensive criminal record.
Detectives said White may be driving a white, four-door, 2004 Mercedes 320 with the Washington license plate ANB7070.
The video below is of White at a local store just days before the Feb. 6 murder, according to deputies.
