TUALATIN, Ore. -- Four people were injured after an ambulance crashed into a car on Monday afternoon in Tualatin.
The four passengers in the car were transported to OHSU. The extent of their injuries is unknown.
WItnesses told police the ambulance was driving west on Southwest Nyberg Road with its lights and sirens on at about 1:18 p.m. Monday. The ambulance drove through a red light and crashed into a car as it was pulling out of a Fred Meyer parking lot.
The driver and passenger in the ambulance were uninjured. The ambulance wasn't transporting any patients at the time of the crash.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation. No citations have been issued.
